Eclipse of the mind
Casting a shadow
Beyond space and time
Everything is unfolding
Exactly as it should
Yet things are not perfect
Because if they were, then we would-
Be stuck in a cycle
Of eternal, immortal bliss
Forgetting are rolls
In the reality that is this
For you see,
The shadow is our friend
A part of the whole
To help us unfold
To strive to reach a goal

Much of what I want to see is not something that can be measured, but rather something that is experienced. I want to see change not just in the way we live, but in the way we think. I want to see change through the development of healthier habits and memes within culture. I want to inspire people to inspire other people. I want them to choose to care about the choices they are making in their life. I want to stand up in the fight against apathy. I want younger kids to put down their iPhones and pick up a paintbrush. I want to encourage and foster the shift in awareness… the awareness of our connection to reality and our ability to create within it.
We as humans have so much more potential then we are lead to believe. The reason we are not open to this is a result of the environment we are in. If we can alter our environment overtime, then we will change the way we live, and ultimately the way we see ourselves. I am here to fight for the generations who will follow us. Lets work to change the system from within. Yes this is a revolution, but it is a revolution of consciousness.
At the top of my list for tangible goals to accomplish as part of the council is to assist in getting fluoride out of the city’s water. Many people are adamantly against fluoride and I think this is a conversation that needs to be continued. There are many concerning things relating to fluoride that I have read through my own research – such as how back in the day scientist were paid off to fabricate results. How essentially fluoride is little more than waste product from nuclear industry’s uranium refinement and other sites. A lot of people understand that fluoride is corrosive and detrimental to the body and mind, but there are many who have little awareness of it at all. It is also concerning that the act of putting fluoride in the water is no different than a doctor giving someone ‘medication’ without their permission – this is a form of malpractice on a grand scale. So for the sake of the generations to come, I am going to do what I can to have the fluoride issue reevaluated and eventually removed from our water.
As community, we are privileged to have this unique opportunity within our wonderful city. It is good for youth to learn the political process how it is now, and give them a chance to interact and lead the decision-making processes of the future. I am confident in my abilities as a leader, and I feel my voice will add a valuable addition to the council. It is my intention to help facilitate the collective growth of our community on the micro and on the macro scale. This is an experience I am grateful to embrace.

Over the past few years I have been keeping myself pretty busy. Foremost, I completed production of If I Should Fall (www.IfIShouldFall.com), my first feature length award-winning, documentary. The film is the true story about 22-year old Trooper Marc Diab who was killed by an Improvised Explosive Device while in Afghanistan. It is a film about the tragedy of loss, the importance of remembrance, and the spirit of hope. On November 11th 2011, I arranged a free showing for the public at the Wolf Performance Hall – it was very well received. The film is currently available on DVD and can be purchased through the website. Proceeds go towards The Marc Diab Children’s Foundation and the Military Families Fund.
So needless to say, this film is a part of who I am and something I am proud of. It reflects my creative potential as an artist and my benevolent desire to help others. Though before production of this film even began, I was already busy creating the foundations of what is now Paradigm Shift London (www.ParadigmShiftLondon.com). Being a youth, I like to think like one. Growing up I had a curiosity about reality that was not being satisfied within common public spheres. After spending a lot of time doing my own research, learning stuff, getting into yoga, and spending time in Vancouver for a school internship, I eventually created Paradigm Shift as a club in Fanshawe College in 2009. I created it in order to find other youth in London who shared my curiosity and to practice talking about stuff as a group. Today, I describe Paradigm Shift London as “a youth initiated community that encourages open-mindedness, healthy living, and the evolution of consciousness.”
Through Paradigm Shift I have made many good friends and met many future leaders– people who genuinely care about living and want to make the world a better place. Recently in January, I represented youth as part of a panel discussion about the future at The Inspirational Expo 2012 here in London and also gave a separate 20 min talk. "Radio Waves" / L.O.O.K. It's a Party/Waste-Free EcoFest.
Happening August 13th, at Queen's Park in London, Ontario - Locally Organized Organic Knowledge (LOOK) is not just an event, but an idea. Organized by volunteers within the community, the day's events are a chance for networking and celebration. With music, vendors, games, activities, free knowledge, community round table discussions, and awesome vibes, this and future events are ideal chances for you to make the most of if you are in London.
In support of the event, I followed through with a quick last minute descision to document and get in on a scheduled radio interview that Jess, one of the organizers of LOOK, had planned with CHRW 94.9, the offical radio station for the University of Western Ontario.
Supporting an event like this by using my media skill-sets is important to me for numerous reasons. Not only do they strengthen the physical networking within the community, but it also promotes a more conscious eco-aware mindset. Similar to the Hundredth Monkey, the idea of being less egocentric and caring about the world around you and yourself in a nonselfish way has the potential to catch on.

I can say from my own experience that SPACELITE is an essential part of my future. It bassicaly helps your body turn back into a self functioning machine it is designed to be by counteracting all of the crappy stuff we have been ingesting into our bodies our entire life, like pop and candy. SPACELITE is part of a healthy conscious lifestyle. We live in a society where the diet is HIGH sodium, LOW potassium, when in reality it should be the exact opposite. Magic and Mystery in London
Magic and Mystery in London

The cameras turn a moment before I step off the bus. Downtown London; a domain I make my sanctuary. Riding the streets, jumping the grid. Flowing on my intuition, I step into the moment - a Saturday, the sun is out, the sky is clear, and people are making the most of it.
The only thing set on my agenda is to attend Mr.Eman's magic show about the mysteries of the unexplained. (www.mr-eman.com) Prior to the day, me and Mr. Eman had not met, but we had crossed paths years ago at a London Parkour event. Nonetheless, since I had arrived downtown early, I use the freeom to find some nearby Breakers to introduce myself to.
Caught up in a vortex of movement, the Breakers demonstrate some "raw authentic London talent". I applaud anyone who is willing to dance in the streets and allow themselves to become fearless in the gaze of strangers. Those are the kind of people who can change the world, one beat at a time. Reassured that the core of the city is already alive, I head towards the Mysteries of the Unexplained. Upon meeting up with Mr Eman, I find him reading a book about the many Russian experiments relating to parapsychology. Parapsychology was the blanket term coined to refer to studies like extra sensory perception, intuition, clairvoyance, premonition, communicating with dead people, remote viewing, psychokenesis, shooting lasers out of your face, and other quasi-superhero related human abilities.
Though there were no seances performed, Eman did manage to tap into and demonstrate the workings of our collective consciousness. Clever in his performance, he allowed the audience to participate in A) developing their guessing habbits and B) genuinely attempting to pick up on unspoken information. Begining with something infinetly simple, Eman choses two shapes to draw, one inside the other. After he conjured up the sigil on a piece of paper as the sender, we the audience followed suit by trying our best to identify it as a reciever. Right away I intuitevly knew the correct answer. Coincidently enough I had spent several minutes the previous day drawing it repeatidly in a modefied version of Sierpinski's Triforce. The symbol? - A circle with a triangle in it. A symbol in itself which encapsulates a core essence of reality, to me at least. Of course I was not the only one who correctly predicted the shape, nor was I the only one who was not completly blown away by the fact that it happened.
As the act continued, the predictions procceded to get more complex. I eventually found myself participating on stage as me and Eman further demonstrated our ability to share unspoken thoughts. I have had plenty experiences to date that could be categorized under parapsychology. Magic trick or not, I am under the notion that by being aware that it can happen allows you to be more open to the possibility of it happening again.

Try not to believe anything, but be willing to experience everything. Chose to expand your perceptions and learn to see the world with new eyes. Allow the mundane to become magical, and every moment worthwhile.

The cameras turn a moment before I step off the bus. Downtown London; a domain I make my sanctuary. Riding the streets, jumping the grid. Flowing on my intuition, I step into the moment - a Saturday, the sun is out, the sky is clear, and people are making the most of it.
The only thing set on my agenda is to attend Mr.Eman's magic show about the mysteries of the unexplained. (www.mr-eman.com) Prior to the day, me and Mr. Eman had not met, but we had crossed paths years ago at a London Parkour event. Nonetheless, since I had arrived downtown early, I use the freeom to find some nearby Breakers to introduce myself to.
Caught up in a vortex of movement, the Breakers demonstrate some "raw authentic London talent". I applaud anyone who is willing to dance in the streets and allow themselves to become fearless in the gaze of strangers. Those are the kind of people who can change the world, one beat at a time. Reassured that the core of the city is already alive, I head towards the Mysteries of the Unexplained. Upon meeting up with Mr Eman, I find him reading a book about the many Russian experiments relating to parapsychology. Parapsychology was the blanket term coined to refer to studies like extra sensory perception, intuition, clairvoyance, premonition, communicating with dead people, remote viewing, psychokenesis, shooting lasers out of your face, and other quasi-superhero related human abilities.
Though there were no seances performed, Eman did manage to tap into and demonstrate the workings of our collective consciousness. Clever in his performance, he allowed the audience to participate in A) developing their guessing habbits and B) genuinely attempting to pick up on unspoken information. Begining with something infinetly simple, Eman choses two shapes to draw, one inside the other. After he conjured up the sigil on a piece of paper as the sender, we the audience followed suit by trying our best to identify it as a reciever. Right away I intuitevly knew the correct answer. Coincidently enough I had spent several minutes the previous day drawing it repeatidly in a modefied version of Sierpinski's Triforce. The symbol? - A circle with a triangle in it. A symbol in itself which encapsulates a core essence of reality, to me at least. Of course I was not the only one who correctly predicted the shape, nor was I the only one who was not completly blown away by the fact that it happened.
As the act continued, the predictions procceded to get more complex. I eventually found myself participating on stage as me and Eman further demonstrated our ability to share unspoken thoughts. I have had plenty experiences to date that could be categorized under parapsychology. Magic trick or not, I am under the notion that by being aware that it can happen allows you to be more open to the possibility of it happening again.

Try not to believe anything, but be willing to experience everything. Chose to expand your perceptions and learn to see the world with new eyes. Allow the mundane to become magical, and every moment worthwhile.
